As the year draws to a close, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. According to a Sacnilk.com update, the movie has already garnered over ₹1 crore in pre-bookings. Directed by filmmaker Prashanth Neel, this forthcoming action-adventure features Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. “Salaar’s advance bookings have been impressive, with a total of 35,215 tickets sold for 174 shows, grossing ₹80.30 lakh in Telugu. In Malayalam, the film garnered ₹21.03 lakh gross from the sale of 13,988 tickets across 552 shows. In Tamil, 1,093 tickets were sold for 72 shows, resulting in ₹1.76 lakh gross, while in Kannada, 12 tickets were sold for 2 shows, earning ₹1,900 gross.
The advance ticket sales in Hindi reached ₹2.06 lakh, with 972 tickets sold for 67 shows. In total, Salaar has sold 51,280 tickets across 867 shows, accumulating a substantial ₹1.05 crore. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, Salaar is the first installment of the pan-India film series.
Salaar, described by Hombale Films as an “extraordinary tale of rebellion filled with power-packed action and impactful music,” features a stellar cast including Shruthi Haasan, Tinu Anand, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, and Garuda Ram. Stunts are credited to Anbarivu, and Ravi Basrur composed the music. The film is set to release in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi on December 22, a day after Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.
Prabhas recently unveiled the much-anticipated Salaar trailer on Instagram, showcasing a gripping narrative. The trailer depicts the deepening friendship between two individuals and hints at a commitment to support each other. Flashbacks reveal the Mughals’ destructive actions against tribes, particularly the Khansaar tribe, and their resistance. The trailer also offers a glimpse of Shruti Haasan, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s release on December 22, 2023.”
