India is modernising toll collection. The Multi-Lane Free Flow system will soon be at 25 National Highway plazas. This allows vehicles to pass without stopping. FASTag and number plate recognition will be used. The Choryasi Fee Plaza in Gujarat will be the first barrier-free plaza. This will reduce congestion and improve travel.
